had a mini math test today and once again, i guessed i've angered my math tutor miss tan for the n-th time. she flashed two questions on the ohp, and we're supposed to complete both of 'em within that tutorial period. ok they're partial fractions and binomial expansion questions - and i've overheard someone saying that if you can't do them, there's practically no chance for ya at the 'a' level. and yeah, given the ridiculously lousy math ability that i possessed, i couldn't even figure out what the fuck were the questions all about. 'kay i admit that i didn't study at all for the test, but even if i did studied (studying for math tests? that's a big no-no man) for it i highly doubt i can do it anyway. yeah that's how sucky i am with maths. afterall, what can you expect from someone who was the last ranker in sajc for math promos last year with a pathetic seven marks? nothin' much yeah? but coincidentally seven happens to be my favourite number; perhaps i would be way better off if hundred was my fav number yeah? lol that's pure bullshit. so back to whatever i was saying, i dutifully copied down the questions onto my foolscap paper and began ripping the answers from joel who's sitting beside me. i know it's pointless to copy during a test but i don't wanna disappoint miss tan any further. *copies copies copies* but i guess my ol' self was showing up again - i think there's no point for me doing all these crap cause i'm just deceiving everyone. and within a split second i crushed my paper and threw it to another corner of the room. yep so in the end i told her that i've got nothing for her (not even a blank piece of paper lol) and when she asked where is it i pointed to that pathetic ball of crumpled paper lying motionlessly on the ground. "pick it up and don't litter the school," she said. wow that kinda hit me hard cause it's rare to see her raising her voice at somebody with such a stern tone. ouch. but then again there's nothing much i could do ain't it (besides swearing to god again that i'm gonna work hard for the next round of test)
was at ccab watching the guys' hockey match after my geog test today. oh btw i was from hockey from last year till january 2004, before i decided that i've enough of the snobbish peeps there and felt that i can't handle dual ccasgiven my struggling results. had strong conflicting emotions during the whole course of the match. i could almost imagine myself being one of the sajc players, proudly wearing the jersey with the word 'saints' imprinted on the back, but guess this all part of my imagination. or rather, it's more like fantasing to me. but anyway they lost 3-1 to acjc, our rival college. on one hand i was glad, for a hard beating was what those snobs deserved to bring them back down to earth and make them stop believing that they're the best around. but on the other i really wanted them to clinch this game victoriously for i'm a saint, and why should a saint be against his own college team right? i thought there was a glimmer of hope, however little, when eugene pulled one back for us some minutes before the final whistle came. but alas the other two equalising goals never did came and *sigh* i think that's the end of the tournament for the hockey dudes - though they still have one more pointless game in hand with the whipping-boys tjc. to my surprise, the girls won jjc 2-0 and lol i surely do hope that juliana did play a role in creating or even scoring at least one of the two goals. it was a pity that i didn't stayed on to see the match, and adding on to the fact that i knew absolutely nothin' about jjc hockey (apparently they only have hockey for girls i think), there was nothing much i could comment on the scoreline. whether it was an upset or an expected one, guess i'll never know..
till the next time we meet again, i wish you all a happy weekend ahead of ya :)

delirious moments of joy - that's what every hot-blooded saint who just went to toa payoh must be feeling right now. yeah the volleyball girls did the school proud and won ajc 3 sets to 0 in the final matchup yay!! sajc is crowned as the 2004 volleyball girls' champions! well the scoreline might seem a little overly-flattering cause ajc did put up a good fight (in fact both of the teams were only like 1 or 2 points to clinching the first set) and for a moment i thought they're gonna scraped through the 3rd set which fortunately didn't happen. but ours girls did put in tremendous effort to put a smile into the faces of those who went to support them.
as expected, the atmosphere there was indeed thrilling and everyone was cheering like mad - kinda similar to trapped souls which have just been released from hell heh. when i first stepped into the battlefield together with wilson, the place suddenly appeared so nostalgic to me. it looks just as if it was the sa-hc basketball finals that i witnessed at the same location last year, except that the people opposite the saints were wearing grey tops instead of full biege colour. but i was kinda scared for awhile i have to admit, for our principal mrs lim is sitting there together with the vips and it would be indeed devastating if our school fell like the way we did last year. but luckily that didn't happen and it's all thanks to the vball princesses of sajc. well done gals~!
jersey number one was simply astonishing: she could well be this year's tournament best player for all the magical displays she has shown. think even a outsider to volleyball could easily tell that she's the star player of sajc. she indeed is the star player of the team, and i too heard from others that she's a national player. ah, guess this best accounts for the magic she has performed right in front of our eyes. personally i'm not sure of what is her name (or else i would've bolded it right here) but one thing that i know of is that she's from the class of 03s82. haha the people from s82 must be pleased to know that they actually have sparkling startlet within the confinements of their classroom :) she's just so good that whenever she takes a shot at the opponent's court, there's usually only 3 possible outcomes: one, the speed of the ball she smacked would be so fast that the opponents can't get to stop it before it lands onto the ground; two, the shot would be so hard that it would be just rebound off the opponent's hand and out of the court for sajc to gain 1 point; or three, she would do fake and do a soft tap down into the middle of where the opponents stand, often catching them by surprise. haha she's not just effective in attack, as she would too commit almost zero mistake when she's being placed into a defensive role. sounds like a goddess playing volleyball? yeah that's what exactly she is.
another star player worth mentioning would be number 10. haha i gotta admit that i've no clue that she existed in sajc at all - for i don't know her class and level (but i think she should be a j2) besides having extremely long slender legs that will make guys with raging hormones drool all over the place, she possesses strong attacking flair next to number 1. her shot may not be as powerful as the former, but it's managed to give sajc several important points in the match. and the style she shows before attempting a shot is just soooo beautiful hehe - she'll put her legs together in anticipation and just go up like a fairy before whacking it down to the opponent's half. classic.
haha hope this marks just one of the many victory sajc would have in time to come, and yep you peeps have a nice day too.. catch ya later :)

this must be one of the luckiest week i'll ever have in sajc - my economics essay test was postphoned yesterday, and i just had my geography essay test postphoned today to friday lol!! well though the question for the test was given out (reason given by tutor: we're supposed to prepare them beforehand so that our answers would be of some acceptable standard) on monday, i'm ashamed to say that i didn't prepare any outline at all. in fact, i don't even know what the questions were cause i just couldn't be much bothered about it. yeah guess that question paper's still lurking somewhere inside my bag and i didn't take a single peek whatsoever into it. talk about being a jc student who's gonna take his 'a' levels this year. heh.
i'm getting a little excited about the prospect of tomorrow's game that team sajc would be having. apparently the sajc volleyball girls have gotten themselves into the grand finals and the much-awaited showdown with ajc would be taking place at the toa payoh stadium tomorrow - and you'd bet that i would try my best to be there cause i'm released at 12.50pm tomorrow hehe. i've always loved the tense atmosphere that could be felt as one steps into the toa payoh stadium since i was there at the boys' basketball finals last year (we lost to hwachong, unfortunately =x) and it would be definitely great to be feeling that same tension all over again tomorrow. yep with all the cool vball chicks, complete with great legs and asses plus all the pure excitement upon hearing the word 'finals', tomorrow's game is definitely not to be missed. hmm i think ajc are the favourites to claim the championship title, for they've kinda thrashed our girls 2 sets to 0 in the quarter finals - but perhaps that day was the off-period for our girls and an upset would surely be a pleasant surprise to the saints' community. good luck girls, and show the andersonians what saints are really made of :)
oh and i've managed to got hold of the second round groupings for the sajc soccer team. (lol, i'm a huge fan of 'em believe it or not)we're placed together with acjc (the traditional rivals of sajc), yjc (who've beaten njc 2-1) and mi/mj. i'm not too sure of the last team cause it's easy for me to get confused with jc initials, especially more so when both of 'em starts with the same letter 'm'.. i was kinda disappointed that njc wasn't in our group, but well there's really nothing much i could do except to pray that we can meet them either in the semis or final round. and i'm pretty confident that we can do that and whack the nationalists' asses real hard to lift the championship trophy. confidence towards the sajc soccer team is at an all-time high now after the team has won all of their matches heh.
oh and today we had a dialogue session with some biggie from the ministry of foreign affair. ok it wasn't a much dialogue session at all, but more like a boring one-way talk. and to our surprise (and horror) the speaker is miss k's bro (for those who's not in sajc, miss k is someone whom you'll love to miss meeting =>) i thought he would be a nice person in contrast to that horrible miss k, but apparently my image of him was totally shattered when he start blasting the school about how much the saints hate rafflesians (he's from ri btw, big deal~) and about how ignorant and duped we are by the media. in fact, he openly criticised a chinese teacher about how he got his facts wrong while he was questioned, and also told another student not to use chim words in his question if he didn't knew the proper meaning of 'em. c'mon man, it's you who wanna us to ask you questions and now what are ya tryin' to do? putting us down like that and try to act big? oh please this might work in other schools, but surely you're gonna incur the wrath of the saints with this kinda fucked up attitude. even if the question is improper, or outlandishly stupid for that matter, can't you be nice for a change and re-edit the question in alternative terms? it's embarrasing enough for one to sum up the courage and go towards the mic, and if they're openly flamed at, that's not a pretty thing to witness at all. but heck i wasn't too concernec about the nitty things that he said, cause thankfully i was like sleeping throughout the q&a session. and that stupid yu zhe secretly took a photo of me sleeping while joel put his stinky nike shoe right next to my nose dammit. and yeah one last question for that mr k: if you're not interested in giving us your answers to the questions posed by us, what makes you think that we're interested in knowing how smart a freak you are?
gotta go peeps, and have a nice day ahead of ya! :)

the econs test that was scheduled for today was cancelled yay!! :) but wait, don't get too overly carried-away yet.. apparently the tutors would be giving us a comined econs test containing both essay and mcq components next week, and they would like us to be more prepared by giving us one more week of time. well this is kinda good for me, for i wasn't really prepared for today's test at all frankly speaking. well in fact when have i ever been prepared for any test since i stepped into sajc? hmm i ought to do some self-reflection on that haha. anyway i could hear the curses of the prc scholars in my class - apparently they've been sloggin' throughout the night trying to get themselves fully prepared for today's test, and wow yu zhe even had a piece of paper whereby he would write down all the definitions of the various economic terms and memorise them! lol i really don't understand why students nowadays pay so much focus on the definitions. yeah it's undeniable that you have to know all the terms inside out but i think it's just ridiculous for one to spend weeks memorising all sorts of definitions just to secure that 1 or 2 marks in the exams. ok i'm a little biased here cause i never learn defintions (or rather, i don't have the talent to learn them hehe) and i'd rather choose to try my luck and hopefully smoke my way through. my brain's definitely not that pro 'nuff to act like a computer with gigs of memory space. oh well maybe it does - but the memory space i have in my head is not for studies.. too bad lol.
i've been realising for awhile that i'm beginning to like perfect 10 back again. yeah i used to listen to it like a faithful worshipper everyday during my 1st 3 months in njc, but i've since switched to yes 93.3 after coming to sajc. seems pretty strange huh, cause most people would assume that the saints (being the cooler buncha peeps outta there) will listen to english songs.. but anyway r&b is my type of music, and perfect 10 seems to be slanting more towards that side. yeah put that together with the top 40s and that's enough music to last you for a very looong time. well not to say that chi music is not good anymore, but most of them still bring out that same soft "soothing" feeling and not many chi songs have that unique r&b flavour. but then again i still hate perfect 10 for the irritatingly many adverts that they play in-between the song, especially so if they're forever so repetitive and it really just gets on my nerves.. lol but well every radio station has its strong and weak points i gotta admit, and darn i guessed i would've loved power 98 if not for its poor reception throughout the bus rides. but surprisingly, it seems to be really clear when i listen to it at my school's balcony *wonders if the power 98 broadcast station is nearby sajc*
okay guess that's all for now - you peeps have a nice day out there yeah?

yay there's some major addition to my blog finally, after spending hours of yesterday night trying to tweak the coding a lil' and putting them in their respective places. i guess there's some error behind the enetation's blog comment service so i decided to terminate my account there - and instead signed up for backblog's one. oh yeah i also added a tagboard from flooble and everything seems to be working fine seamlessly. guess my effort trying to integrate both of 'em into blogger kinda paid off (hopefully)
betrayed - that's exactly the feeling that i'm getting right now. on my way home with gary today, he told me that the new exco posts for my cca has more or less been decided already. as expected, he told me that my name wasn't in the list. okay i thought i was able to pull off this disappointment coolly and just get on with my cca as a normal member - but in the end i didn't. yeah i kinda flared up and was beginning to raise my voice at him. have to say that it wasn't intentional of me to do that, but well the sense of disappointment and unfairness i felt then was simply too overwheming for me i reckon.
he told me yew kuan, chern yang and huixian (a jc1 junior) would fill up the 3 new exco posts. damn i've to say that i'm not at all pleased with this arrangement. ok chern yang is prolly the one with all the expert computing skills amongst us all, but i seriously doubt his committment to the cca at all - i skipping meeting sessions without any valid reason at all doesn't really show your commitment at all. and to think that i've only missed one single session for the whole of my cca career (i've a medical certificate to prove my absence though) yew kuan - *sigh* i like him (btw, he's my ncc mate for 4 years during secondary school) but putting him as an exco after less than a month of joining the cca is a lil' too extreme. c'mon man, i was one of the so-called 'founding members' afterall and don't tell me that my status in the cca is lower than someone who just joined in? kinda ridiculous ain't it? ok as for the j1 junior i guess there's really no rush to install her as an exco member yet. afterall, she's gonna get the same amount of pearls points regardless of whether is she going to be the exco in j1 or j2. since there's a way to give these pearl points to another j2 senior, i don't see the reason why an exco position must be given to a j1. okay i might sound like a grumpy fella who's just plain desparate for these pearls points, but i think that things just isn't acceptable at all. you mean to say that i don't deserve any form of recognition for staying with the cca throughout my jc life? that's utter bullshit. *sigh*
"life is not all about pearls points," was the first reason gary gave me. hey man can you come up with something new, instead of quoting such an overused cliche? oh yeah of course i know life's much more than all these nitty gritty details, but hey can i say that life's not all about studying too yeah? if that's the case, why do i see you muggin' so hard and aiming to pass your 'a' levels with flying colours? uh-oh, excuse 1 not accepted.
"you didn't do anything for the cca," was the second reason. that's 101% untrue i gotta rebutt. dude whatever the cca has asked me to do i've done it - and whatever you have done i've done it too. 'cept for those that duties reserved specially for the vice-prez. he told me that yew kuan was there and i wasn't there to help keep track of the inventories the cca has. hey is this considered to be a valid point at all? i wasn't even informed of this shit beforehand man! and what, you expect me to know what you peeps are thinking through sheer telepathy - god i've to say that i'm indeed sorry to disasppoint you all cause all i'm ain't gay and there's virtually no way i could communicate with you guys through telepathy.
there's also other plenty of lame reasons, oops i meant to say 'excuses', that he gave to me during the ride back home. i'm pretty confident of refuting all of 'em successfully cause these excuses are just soooo spastically-inclined and i think i'd better things to do than listing all of 'em right here. guess it all boils down to one thing: the cca prez don't like me a weeny bit (everyone's aware of that i think) and no matter what i do he won't be pleased. hah you expect me to bootlick him so that he could change his impression of me? in your next life, perhaps - i'm not sucha despo freak who will stoop to such low means trying to get like, 2 measly pearls points? again i gotta stress that it's not the pearls points that made me fuming like crazy, but rather how unappreciative some fuckin' morons can be when they would try to put you down no matter what nice things you're trying to do. that's quite a bit too much for some to digest i know, but i seriously think that some justice must be done here; since i can't do it in real life, i shall be a bloody coward and vent all my frustrations here. :x

i am supposed to accompany mum for breakfast this morning, but i silenced my alarm clocks (yes, i have 3 of them) and went back to sleep.. could sense that mum's a little unhappy with me but there's nothing really much i could do about it yeah? my whole body's drained after the basketball game yesterday and i badly need to account for the all the hours of sleep that i've lacked over the past week. to put it in a nicer way, it's called re-adjusting oneself's own bioclock. and to put it bluntly, it's called pure laziness. go figure :)
went to cut hair at 2+pm and now i'm tweaking with this blog a little bit. edited a little coding for the hyperlinking bit, and i guess it's time to add some more features to this dull blog. guess setting up a tagboard and adding a commenting feature knock off some of the dullness i reckon. *sigh* it seems to me that the enetation's comment feature is not working fine right here and yeah i'm trying to figure out what's the friggin' problem behind it. ah if things still doesn't work out then i suppose i'll go look for some alternative addon providers. lol i'm kinda surprised that there's plenty of such services around, and most importantly they're free of charge haha! oh yeah, i'm a bloody cheapskate when it comes to things like these.
alright guess that's all for now.. it's time for me to continue work on this blog and i hope to get all the additional features running as soon as possible. catch ya peeps later!

sajc's supposed to have the annual sports day meet morning, but due to the downpour this morning it has to be cancelled. *sigh* and the school postphoned it to a weekday next week.. guess the saints just wasted their time and effort waking up that early on a lazy saturday morning, only to find out that they've been taken for a ride by the weather. well i just hope that they could hold the sports meet on monday or tuesday so that i could end school earlier and not slog the whole day out attending dumb lectures and tutorial sessions haha
some of the class gals decided to head for jec (jurong entertainment centre) for breakfast and i happened to be going there too with marv and co. thought the gals are going to catch a movie later on, but it has to be cancelled cause they couldn't decide on what to watch exactly. half of 'em wanna adam sandler's 50 first dates while the other half only want to watch chinese show. and the worst part of it all - they discussed over this for like a good 15mins? that's 101% dumb. seriously i don't see why they couldn't compromise with each other at all; since it's something like an informal class gathering (missing a significant number of people though) they should've known better that chances are, not everyone's have their wishes fulfilled - but hey afterall this is a class outing, and it really hurts my empty brain thinking why on earth can't they just show some sense of class spirit (not that our class has any, btw) and do something together for once? bloody hell, my class really sucked big time man.
anyway was so pissed that i left straightaway and caught up with ber to take a look at computer parts down at sim lim square. went to play basketball ball at james' place afterwards and my, i really missed the good ol' times when i would just play ball with my friends for hours straight. i gotta admit that my skills still suck as much as before, and not playing the game for months didn't seem to help me at all lol. didn't even managed to get any 3-pointers in today though i did really came very (yeah, very) close to getting a few. damn the rim must've hated me.
feeling rather shagged right now. and guess what, i just realised that the clash between real madrid and barcelona ain't taking place tonight :( i kept thinking that i'm gonna sacrifice some sleep tonight to catch the action live on tv. anyway i've got a pretty bad news for madrid fans: ronaldo appeared to have injured himself during training (how clumsy can that fatty get lol) and is a major, major doubt for the clash of the titans at santiago bernabeau.. aww, this really sucks big time man!

hello world! after contemplating about whether to keep my own online blog for such a long time and doing virtually nothing about it, i decided this very evening that it's high time that i should start working on it. yep, completed all the registration process in blogger.com and also the designing of my custom template all in one short. okay i gotta admit that this is a lil' rushed, but hey it beats sitting around at a corner and dreaming about how great it would be to have a tool in which i can say whatver that's running through my mind online eh? =)
anyway the current design of this blog is simple, and i do intend to keep it that way. though reading lengthy essays is not my forte, going through galleries of pictures is not something i relish in either. and guess this explains why i've kept insisting on a text-only design. afterall i think this would make my blog more professional and down-to-earth (hopefully) cause flashing images and marquees can cause severe eye disorders to many seasoned web surfers.
the colour scheme is predominantly black and blue. yep you guessed it right again - they're my favourite colours. i mean for what colour do you expect someone who doesn't have gives a damn about aesthetical values to like right besides the same old few (white, black, blue..) i might be adding more colours to spice things up a lil', but that will be highly dependent on my mood and also the free time i have. stay tuned for further updates.
alright that's quite a huge chunk for a first entry (can't blame me, really - it's my first time afterall haha) and yeah i gotta go now.. catch ya peeps at some other time yeah? :P
